Simulation and Analysis on the Virtual Prototype of the Small Hydraulic Excavator

The software PRO/E was adopted to create 3D solid model of the hydraulic excavator work device. Then established the virtual prototype after added restrictions by which the model imported to the software of ADAMS. The force curves of several main articulated points were obtained through the dynamics simulation by which the step function of the cylinder displacement, the step function of the force of the bucket tooth tip, the step function of the material gravity was caculated. The results has provided the basis for the strength analysis and structural optimization of the hydraulic excavator working device. The simulation test for the bucket arm cylinder of virtual prototype maximum digging force was accomplished by utilizing the principle of analog dynamometer. Then calculate the bucket arm cylinder maximum digging force, and the comparative analysis between the calculation results and the simulation results was completed. The research has provided the new avenue for the test of the excavator digging force.

The Synchronizations on Mast Hoisting Mechanism and  Traction Hoisting Mechanism in Crawler Crane

The mast hoisting mechanism is one of the important parts of actuating unit when the mast is hoisting. To synchronies the speed of mast hydro-cylinder and rope speed the functional relation model of cylinder trust, piston speed and rope speed is built. Considering the parameters of crawler crane with MATLAB the functional model was simulated. The result shows that this control algorithm can ensure the synchronization of two mechanisms. The innovation method of mechanism synchronization was suggested in this passage and it is valuable in engineering application.

Establishment and Dynamic Simulation of the Virtual Prototype of Excavator Work Device

The software Pro/E was adopted to create a three-dimensional physical model of the virtual prototype of a single bucket backhoe hydraulic excavator work device. The model was transferred into ADAMS to build a virtual prototype of the work device. A work cycle of excavator work device, as well as the tangential force, the normal force and the gravitational force of the materials was successfully simulated by using the function step. With the simulation, load-time curves of three hinge points whose articulated stresses are more complex were obtained. The research has provided the basis for the design of the excavator devices.
